Scuba diving offers a wide variety opportunities and experiencies for anyone who wishes to explore the

world beneath the waves. The UK offers hundreds of dive sites ranging from inland lakes, rivers and

quarries to a rich variety of marine life and thousands of wrecks that lie out at sea. Phoenix Divers

regularly run dive trips all over the country that range from 1 day to week long holidays. The UK has a

reputation, mainly from divers who have never dived in the UK, as being cold and having bad viability and

few attractions. Although “low vis” dives can be encountered this is a sweeping generalisation that does

not accurately reflect what the UK has to offer.

For any with an interest in diving the UK ideal. It is an island with more ship wrecks per square mile than

anywhere else in the world ranging from freighters just off of the south east coast to the WW1 German

fleet in Scapa Flow. We also have a wide variety of marine life from Kelps, Coral, Crustations, Fish of all

shapes and sizes to large Pelagics and mammals such as Dolphin and Seals. The Gulf Stream gives us

our fair share of summer visitors too. The sea temperature in the UK will range from 8 - 20 degrees

Celsius and visibility from 1 - 30m. So if you’re ready to discover the world that is waiting for you off your

As a club we also run regular trips to the Red Sea either for land based trips or on Liveaboards. Club

members also dive in Cyprus, Malta, Thailand, Singapore and many many destinations all over the world.
